Wow, Its been AWHILE!

Please accept our apologies for being so incredibly slow on updating our blog! I promise we wont wait this long ever again! As many of you the first part of 2010, has been extemly busy! I know its a little late but we wish all of you a blessed and happy new year from the bottom of our hearts!

Where to begin, so many things have happened since our last post! Our first CHRISTMAS was amazzzing! We couldn't have been more blessed! We got everything we wanted plus some! We started our own traditions this year for our "little" family, One of them is making ginger bread houses! Neither Caleb or I had ever made one. It was A LOT of fun, but verrry time consuming! We definitely should have started earlier in the day!

I wouldn't say this was my best hair day... =)

The back of the house!

Finished Product!
I think we did really well for our first one!

Of course I didn't sleep well at all Christmas eve, I'm still like a little child when it comes to Christmas. I am ALWAYS the first one to rise, even before my little sister who still believes in Santa. I learned my husband is not that way though, I woke up tried to wake him of course he wasn't having that at 6 am haha, so I made breakfast from scratch! Wow never thought i'd see the day that I would be the one doing such a thing! =) Finally the smell of food and coffee made my lovely husband arise! We ate turened on the Christmas music and began our very first CHRISTMAS! I was pleasantly surprised at how well Caleb stuffed my stocking! He did so good! Here is a few snap shots from our Christmas..

Isn't Caleb a good wrapper?
I thought so!

The only Office season we didn't have and a sushi making kit!
Who doesn't need a sushi kit?
We love sushi but i'll be honest we haven't tried making it home...yet

Caleb opening his XBOX 360 that I disguised in this big box!
He had no clue!

My siblings got a Wii
The bad part of being married is you are no longer a recipient of the "family" presents.. haha
In Emily's letter to santa she had a long list of things and at the bottom she wrote "and not to be greedy but can I please have a Wii" haha How cute!

Our gag gift to Josh "farter's underwear"

Our New Chair!
WE love it!

New TV..
& Xbox

& my husband playing his new Xbox..
When do they EVER grow out of this???

We had a really good New Years, we celebrated with our small group from church. It was a blast! We brought a couple of our new games we got for Christmas and played those! New Years day Caleb got up and made us a good lunch of course it contained greens for prosperity and black eyed peas for good luck!

Caleb won some mavs suite tickets off the radio a couple of weeks ago, so we were able to go last weekend! It was a good free date... or o we thought it was going to be. So my husband has this great idea to ride the TRE for those who dont know its a train that runs from here in Arlington right up to the front of the AAC. Well it was raining and there was traffic on the way to the train station, so we were a bit late, the train was about to leave right as we pull up meaning we didn't have to time to get our tickets.. Caleb informed me he has ridden it many times and they never check so it will be okay, we will just buy them when we get to the AAC. I told him I dont think thats a good idea, but the next train didn't leave for another 45 min. So against my better judgement i jumped on with him. Wasn't five seconds and here comes 2 security officers checking tickets.... and of course we didn't have them! So that train ride cost us $75 each! I could have killed him! And the story doesnt stop there... so after the game we go to get back on the TRE to head back to Arlington, and the AAC TRE only accepts cash... and guess who didnt carry any cash... and of course no ATM's to be found, so either take the risk of getting 2 more $75 tickets or call a friend to come get us. Needless to say our VERY nice friend Austen came all the way from Arlington to get us and bring us home! Fun night! I told Caleb if this had been our first date, he would have never seen me again! haha

But the good thing is that the Mavs won by one point!

Do I look happy or what?

Caleb holding up our tickets.. yes the mavs tickets and the criminal tickets.. haha

The next night was a much more enjoyable one for me. My friends and I had a whole girls day planned! We went to a dance class earlier in the day.. and boy were we all sore.. shows how ou of shape we all are! and of course we went shopping.. you cant have a girls day with out shopping! We came back got dressed and went out for a night out in Sundance Square in Fort Worth. We went to my favorite restraunt Pirahnna's Sushi!  It was soooo good! Finally we came back to our house and had a "slumber party" =)

Don't I have the most BEAUTIFUL best friends?

and you cant have girls night without pigging out and eating brownies and cake batter! =)

Well, I finished up my winter mini, it wasn't as hard as I had imagined! I began the start of this semester last week and it is definately going to be hectic! I'm taking 17 hours this semester. Should be interesting, I'm taking my last 2 senior level Advertising classes! I can finally see the light only a couple more semesters left. I never thought I'd get this far! Caleb had a busy next couple of weeks at work. Tomorrow he will be having a preview of the new Baylor Orthopedic and Spine Hospital at Arlington. Arlington Orthopedic Associates employees will be given a tour of the facility and see what all their new hospital has to offer.

Then on Feb. 2nd there will be a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at the new BOSHA hospital. This will be an extavagent night with food, photo ops and much more. We are really looking forward to this event and Caleb has worked a lot of hours preparing for this event.

Well this was our month in a nutshell! Hope yours was as much fun as ours. We are truly loving and enjoying being newly weds!

   XOXO,
Jenna & Caleb

P.S.  I have a prayer request, This Sunday at church our preacher, preached on things that are first place in our lives and that God doesn't want to wear the silver or bronze medal. This is so true and it is one of the things I struggle with greatly. I tend to put so much time into school, husband, family, social life etc and leave what is left for God. When truly I should put God first and foremost! So if you could please pray for me to put God first place in my life! When you do so everything else will fall into place.
Jesus said to them, "With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Matthew 9:26

Our friends came over a couple of weekends ago, and us girls did a lot of our Christmas shopping then. Our good friend Courtney graduated this weekend! Congrats Courtney! We went and celebrated with her friends and family at Salt Grass on Sat. had alot of fun getting together with them! Yesterday we CLEANED and CLEANED and CLEANED! We have kind of neglected the house during my finals week and my winter mini this last week, so we had a lot of work to do! I felt like I hadn't done laundry in a year! I can now say everything is spotless, even our cars (thanks to caleb) Tonight we made hot chocolate, pulled out the Christmas Cd's and went and looked at Christmas lights! =)

Christmas is in The Air =)

So it's been awhile, We have been SO busy lately! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving! We sure did, it was different this year, now that we are married we have to make decisions about where we are celebrating it now, we got to see some of my family the night before Thanksgiving. It was a fun low key night, my Aunt and Uncle brought over a new game called The Last Word, we had a lot of fun playing it! We absolutely love playing games with our families, some of our favorite memories come from those nights! Actual Thanksgiving day we celebrated with his Family at his Aunt and Uncles house. His Aunt had a very nice meal and table for us! We really enjoy getting to spend time with family!

Of Course, we got up and went shipping in the wee hours of the morning on Black Friday! There wasn't anything we were set out on getting this year for once. Usually there is always something that we are headed out to get. There is really nothing either of us are in just dier need of. We have been so blessed this year, God is so good to us. We did find a few things for some of the lucky people on our Christmas list this year though =) I love buying presents for people, I get so excited! I've already wrapped all of Caleb's gifts and it's SUPER hard for me not to tell him what they are! Luckily, he doesn't want to know or he probably would already have opened them if it were up to me!

We had ALOT of fun putting up and decorating our first Christmas Tree! After a couple trips to Hobby Lobby (that is a dangerous place, I can't ever get out of there with just one thing!) we have it all decked out! I made some of my granny's Apple cider, put on some Christmas music, and we got to decorating. Here are a few pics from the big night =)

Before We Decorated

Decorating!

Apple Cider =)

Almost Done!

The Masterpiece =)

We dont have a fireplace so we had to make do!
Can you guess which one is mine?

If you guessed the one on the left, you were correct! =) This last weekend Caleb and I took a little trip to Fort worth! We went to the Fort Worth botanical Gardens, it was so Beautiful, pictures just don't do it justice!

Caleb acting like he was falling in!

Beautiful Trees

After the Botanical gardens we headed on over to The Kimball art Museum where they have Michael Angelo's first painting that he did when he was 12 years old! Wow, that was amazing, most adults I know can't paint a picture that detailed, and he did it at the ripe old age of 12! Im not a huge museum fan, but I did find that pretty interesting! After the Kimball we went to the The Modern another museum, it had a lot of newer art in there, if you cant tell by the name "modern" haha!

walking on water at the Kimball

The View at The Modern

After all that we were hungry, so what better place to go eat in Ft Worth than Joe T Garcia's? Yumm It was so good! Sunday we went to church, and the rest of the day was just a lazy day, love those roll around in your pajamas days! This week has been busy for us so far, its dead week for me which mean finals next week! So needless to say I'm swamped with school work! Caleb has been working hard this week, he is at actually at work tonight in a suite at the Stars game... If you can call that work! =) Well that is us in a nutshell for the last week, hopefully it wont be as long between this and my next post!

A Case of The Mondays

Oh Boy it's Monday again.. at least it's a short week! I have class and a BIG project to finish  tonight, 2 classes tomorrow then I'm on Thanksgiving BREAK! WOO HOO!! Poor Caleb has to work on Wednesday but hopefully he can sneak away early!

We had a fabulous weekend! My Scentsy Party went great, and we were able to catch a movie with our friends Courtney and Cregg while we were in Greenville. We found some good deals when we went shopping with my grandparents for Christmas. This year I'm going for work-out attire, hoping that it will motivate me to get to the gym! =) Caleb picked out some nice looking work clothes at Van Husen.

Emily's birthday party was a hit, all her little friends loved ice skating! Caleb and I bought her a gift card to build a bear. After the party we took her to build her very own bear! That was a lot of fun, we had never done that before and she has already picked out several more outfits that she would like for her new bear,Princess!

We picked up our Christmas tree from my Mom's house this weekend, and we have it set up in the living room, this tree is HUGE in our little apartment! We haven't decorated it yet, I made some apple cider so hopefully tonight we can put on some christmas music warm up the apple cider and decorate! I know it's early but we will be busy this next weekend and I really like to have my tree up as long as possible! =) Oh how I LOVE the Holidays!

Last night we went over to Rachel and Tobin's house. The guys went out to Top Golf while us girls stayed and had a little cooking club! Everything turned out wonderfully! We had so much fun! We are planning a Christmas themed night for next months "cooking club"! I can't wait!

          xoxo,

Packed Weekend!

This weekend is going to be a busy one! Caleb is getting off early this afternoon so that we can head on over to Greenville because I'm hosting a Scentsy party tonight! Woo Hoo! Then we have to wake up bright and early Sat. morning to go shopping in Allen with my Grandmother for our Christmas gifts, hopefully I can find some tennis shoes, I really need new ones, but I cant ever seem to find any that I like!
After, shopping we are heading over to Frisco for my sister's birthday party at the ice skating rink! I can't believe that my baby sister is 8! It should be interesting to see how well she does this time. Caleb and I took her for her first time to ice skate a couple of weeks ago and she loved it but still wasn't real comfortable doing it herself yet. After ice skating, depending on the time we want to head back over to watch the Southlake Carroll football game in the Dallas Cowboy Stadium at 8. The oldest girl of the family that I nannied for last year plays in the band for Southlake. So that should be fun! Plus we get to watch a game in the new stadium for $12 a ticket instead of $12,000. like ol' Jerry charges.
Sunday of course is church, and I have to meet up with my group at school to try and finish one of our projects for our dreadful class! Boy am I ready for Thanksgiving break! Hopefully we get our project done in time for me to attend the first meeting of a cooking club that I joined. A lady in our small group asked me to join her cooking club she is starting up! I am really looking forward to it (as I'm sure Caleb is looking forward to me learning to cook too haha!)

That sums up our busy lives for now! Hope this weekend is a good one!

XOXO,

Jenna & Caleb

Let the FUN begin!

Welcome to our Blog!! We decided to get one of these because we noticed it's quite the trend for the newly married and young families! In case you don't know the background of us, we are high school sweet hearts who recently tied the knot on August 8, 2009.

The proposal was unique, but we will spare you the time of reading about it and just show you the video.
Proposal Video.

Our wedding turned out fantastic, thanks to the help of all our family! Here's a few of our favorite pictures from the best day of our lives!

Caleb is currently marketing for Arlington Orthopedic Associates. This job has been a blessing from the Lord, for him to be able to find a job in this tough economy. He really enjoys and loves what he is doing. I am currently a full time student at UTA, I am majoring in Advertising with a minor in English. Next semester is going to be a tough one.I will be taking my last Advertising classes and some English classes totaling 17 hours! Plus for some crazy reason I'm going to ruin my Christmas break and take some winter mini's.... eek! Hopefully it wont be too bad!

Caleb has a big night with his work tomorrow. He gets to enjoy a free mavs game in a suite, thanks to his company! We have recently joined a new church that we LOVE! We went to our first Small group/Care group on Sat. night. It was really fun getting to meet other couples, and getting to know them. We can't wait for our next meeting!

Between school, work, church, and all the other fun stuff we get into We are going to try and keep this updated as much as we can!
